Nic is not quite what you would expect as a CFO based on appearances – based in George due to his love of surfing and trail running, when he isn’t enjoying the outdoors he can be found playing guitar and spending time with his family.
Having a longstanding history with CEO, Warren Swart, Nic has supported the financial requirements of the business since inception by:
• Managing the group financial strategy
• On-time and accurate review and presentation of accounting results
• Creating and monitoring relevant and appropriate budgets and forecasts with input from the Managing Executive and Business Team
• Optimising Financial Processes
• Optimising financial process integration with central finance
• He is responsible for internal and external audit process as well as implementation of required improvements
• Responsible for the financial information within the current source systems
• Ensuring tax compliance within the business units
• Management of all staff with financial responsibilities
• Optimisation of the liquidity management
With a B Com Accounting, B Com Honours and CTA from the University of Johannesburg, Advanced Certificate in Auditing, and being a Registered Chartered Accountant at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants CA (SA) the Nozy Parker team certainly are in capable hands.
